The body of a woman, named Anne Langshaw, who had been four days missing from her home on Young's Creek, was found in the bush, near the Rising Sun Hotel. A bottle half-filled with lum was discovered by her side, and she was drunk when hbt seen alive. A man, who gave his name as Patrick Maloney, surrendered himself at the North Geelong lock-up on Wednesday night, as a deserter from the 40th Regiment since the 17th September, 1856.
