PROCLAMATION,
Rescinding Proclamations by the Superintendent of Otagfo declaring certain Ports and Places bayond the Colony of New Zealand Infected Districts. By bis Honor JoHS Hydb Harris, Superintendent of the Province of Otago. Whereas, on the eighteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, I, John Hyde Harris, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, -in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf, did, by Proclamation pub* lished in the Provincial Government Gazette t proclaim and declare all the Australian Ports, with the exception of Gipps Land and ; Mornington, , to be an Infected Distriofc { within the meaning of the " Diseased Cattle Act;, 1861 :" And whereas on the sixteenth day of February last, in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf, I did, by Proclamation published in tbe said Gazette, proclaim and declare Gipps . Land and Morniugton aforesaid to he an Infected District, within the meaning of the said Act: And whereas, on the 6th day of May last, in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf. I did, by Proclamation published in the said Gazette, Proclaim and declare the Colony of Tasmania and all the ports and pi .ces therein, to be an Infected District within the meaning of the said Act : And Whereas it is expedient that the said three several Proclamations should be wholly rescinded : Now, therefore, by virtue and ltt exercise of the powers vested In me in tbis behalf, I do hereby Rescind, and declare to be wholly Rescinded, the said three hereinbefore recited Proclamations, and every part thereof. Given under ray hand, and issued tinder the Public Seal ot the Province of Otago, at Dufiediu, this first day (L.S.) of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four. J.
