The Provincial Government having determined on placing the Ferry and Hotel before the public for competition, and the present lessee being about to leave the colony, has instructed TJ SMITH To sell by public auction, on the premises, CLUTHA FERRY, On TUESDAY, 20th DECEMBER, And following day, The whole of hfs extensive STOCK-IN-TRADE, Which will be sold in the order following — FIRST DAYS SALE Will commence in the Grocery and Provision Store, adjacent to the Hotel, and will be continued in the store adjoining the Court House (if time permit). To enumerate even the principal articles would entail unnecessary advertising expense. However, for the information of buyers resident at a distance, the auctioneer is instructed to convey to them a bonafide list, such as may tend to disabuse their minds of this announcement being of the usual stereotyped character of Auctioneers' advertisements generally. THE DRAPERY AND CLOTHING STORE Is apart from the General goods, thus insuring every article clean and marketable. Amongst the stock may be mentioned A bale of 10} blankets, mens' clothing, in every variety and size, and the usual assortment of drapery and female attire which is always to be found in a well-appointed country establishment.
