In reply to the chairman, in connection with the rent of offices, Mr BbverliEY said that no office bid as yet been secured. The report was CijWi fio iwd and adopted. Mr Webb thought that a subscription list should be initiated, otherwise he thought that the committee would not be able to afford funds to subsidise local committees, or bear out other necessary expenses.

At the suggestion of the chairman, Mr Webb undertook to bring the matter forward in the form of a substantive motion. The following accounts were passed :— Petty cash, L 5; "Daily Times" Ll2 7s ; " Daily Telegraph," LlB 10s 6d.

An account from the " Daily News " was referred back for further enquiry. Tenders for the insertion of an advertisement relative to the Exhibition were ordered to be called for to be laid before the next meeting. Mr Webb gave a notice of motion relative to the initiation of a subscription in aid ot the local committee's funds, after which the meeting adjourned.
