ARRIVAL OF THE ALDINGA WITH THE ENGLISH MAILS.
[The following appeared as a Daily Times "Extra." on Monday.] Dailt Times Office, Monday, Noon. The s.g. Aldinga, Captain W. McLean, arrived from Melbourne at 10 a.m., after one of the most tempestuous passages she has ever had. She left Melbourne on the afternoon of Saturday the 10th, immediately after the arrival of the mail, which was telegraphed on the Bth. After the first three days she had the most violent head wind, and very thick weather. On arrival an address was presented to Captain W. M'Lean for his conduct during the passage. Captain Stewart was detained by illness. The vessel leaves again this evening. The Omeo was to leave on Tuesday, 13th inst.
London, August 26. The Australian June Mails were delivered in London on the loth and lf)th August. Her Majesty has gone to Germany. The Prince and Princess of Wales are in Scotland.
Lord Clyde (Sir Colin Campbell) was buried in Westminster Abbey on the 22nd August. England, France and Austria, have addressed three more notes to Russia, which were delivered this week.
They are most courteous in tone, and expressed a hope that Russia would accept the «x points and take measures to restore peace in Poland. X she does not, they will hold her responsible for whatever may happen in consequence.
Earl Russell has recalled Sir James Hudson from Italy. The circumstance caused much agitation in political circles.
The Paris Presse states that a marriage between Queen Victoria and the ex-King of Portugal is contemplated.
The- Rev. D. James Roe, of Brompton, has been summoned for detaining the marriage certificate and wedding ring oi Mrs Albert Edward Guelph, who declared she was married to the Prince of Wales in September by Cardinal Wiseman. She has also declared that defendant received £1000 per annum from the Prince for her boy. The Confederate steamer Florida is craising off the Irish Coast for the purpose of receiving a new iron-plated vessel just built at Liverpool.
The demand for steamships of all descriptions is far in excess of the supply, owing to krge orders from the Confederate States.
Two European regiments are ordered to embark for New Zealand.
Telegraphic communication between London and Calcutta in five hours, ia expected to be completed by next spring.

Green, the Australian Champion, has received a benefit at the Surrey Theatre. There was a crowded house. He still suffers from illness.
