SOCIETY.— The Directors have the satisfaction to draw the attention of intending AsBurers to the important and peculiar privileges accorded to the Society by its Act of Incorfokation, among which are the following : — fl) The Protection to a gradually increasing amoupt of all its Policies after an endurance of two years, against the operation of lfews relating to insolvency. (2) The Protection of Policies of Married Women against the debts or control of their husbands. (3.) For the encouragement of small Assurers, their Policies are relieved from the heavy tax involved in making out letters oi administration, &o. An Endowment Policy granted in January, 1850, for £400 now represents an' Endowment payable to &■ child in July, 1870, on attaining its majority, of £600 Is. sd. These results will bear comparison with those of any British Mutual Office, and show advantages never given to the assured by any Proprietary Company, the Bonus being nearly four times greater than those given by L&adtng London Offices.
