May 16th. Great preparations for celebrating the Royal nuptials are being made. Nearly every building is to be illuminated; processions, fireworks, banquets, &c, are also in thp day' 9 programme. Dr L. L. Smith was taken into custody last night, for assaulting the Minister of Justice ; afterwards apologised ; and set at liberty. A bridal gift is to be presented to the Princess Alexandra. Edina will sail on the 23rd. NEW SOUTH WALES, Robardy, murderer of the Marengo mailmm, was hanged on the 13th. The Municipal Council of Sydney have voted LSOO for rejoicing. The Imperial Government has consented to send out a blockship for Sydney Harbor. Escorts, 8,462 ounces. Arrived— E. C. Felter, from Otago. SOUTH AUSTRALIA. Government state they have no money to expend in rejoicings. 19th and 27th proclaimed public holidays. Wheat, five-nine at port. Flour, LI 3 13s. Bran, Is Id per bushel.
