THE DUNSTAN ESCORT.
The escort from the Dunstau arrived in town early on Saturday morning, bringing 8,5560z lOdwt, or rather more than the amount estimated as likely to be brought down from that district There being three prisoners, deserters from the 70th Regiment to be conveyed to town, Mr Brnuiguti determined to get on as directly as possible, and not to go round by Tuapeka. The gold from that district will be brought by the Wakatipu escort, which will no doubt arrive today, with, in all probability, a total of abont 32,0000z.
