I shall be happy to meet you at any time, if you desire farther explanation of my views, but I shall not solicit votes, nor make a personal canvass. I make this resolution in no arrogant spirit, as my opponents will probably tell you, but because I am desirous that the issue between Mr Harris and myself should be settled on its merits, and that dellherate judgment, and not importunity, should influence you when the day of election cornea.
