El Comercio, a newspaper published at Liuiasayrf, that throughout Peru, Chili, Bolivia, Buenos Ayres, Paraguay and Uruguay the deepest interest is felt coucerniuß' the " treacherous hostility " of Nupoleon 111, against the sister republic of Mexico. It a Ids that "if all the ports of the continent were menaced by the Imperial arms tho excitement could not ba greater." From the' Comercio we also learn thnt in Petohunehano, Peru, situated at the mouth of the River Nieva, a healthy and very fruitful region, where immigrants can. take up fi'ie tracts of land, there have been discovered rich goUlfif Us that may cope with tho^e of California and Australia.
