ANOTHER ACCIDENT AT SADDLE HILL.

Cobb's coach brought in news last night of another serious accident having occurred at Saddle Hill. It appears that Osgood's Express waggon had been engaged by Mr. Eargie of this town to convey a number of passengers and some goods to the East Taieri, and when opposite to the Saddle Hill Hotel, the waggon was capsized over the embankment and precipitated a considerable depth. Fortunately no one was injured beyond being much shaken, but the waggon was smashed to pieces. The passenges were brought back to town by Cobb's coach.

On Wednesday, the 13th inst., the Brethren of the Otago Lodge of Freemasons, to the number of upwards of eighty, assembled in their Lodge room at tho Shamrock hotel, to witness the installation of Brother Charles Webb, to the chair of W.M., to which he had been elected by the unanimous vote of the Brethren . The Lodge was opened iv due form, at 5 o'clock, when the ceremony according to ancient custom, was performed by Brother P. M., E. Nathan, P.P.G.I.W. assisted by several Past Masters. The W.M. then appointed h.u officers, whom be invested in proper form, The c ceremonies having been concluded, the Lon^c was closed, and the Brethren adjourned to the banquet, alter which the W.M. proposed the usual loyal and masonic toasts, which were properly received. Several eloquent speeches wore made in the course of the evening, and listened to with the greatest pleasure and attention.
