Driver, M.^lkyn axd Co. repoi t : -We have had a laigfr supply of both Micrp and ''aitle. than for many week* past, although the lots Ifuied (with the exception of I- lot of cattle from SfH'.iibind) weie of veiy inferior quality. We are a'ivktd of se^e.al lots on" the wid, niid hope that in future we shall be enab'ed to keep the yau'ta inoie regulaily nipplied. Fat Cattu:.— Owinq to a large number of ship cattle comii'g tv hand, ur.rlist week's quotations have scarcely been innint.iinc-d. In this luoneh of the tr.vle, the looses are so crcat, and the cattle landed are generally in such wretched condition, that we fenr the rusuli3 will discourage a contiiiu'itiou of it, at least until some different mode of shipment be adopted. Really prime cattle, v.ith weight, still maintain former prices. We sold a lot, of 50 head, (all very fine) from Southland, at prices quite equal to our quotations:— Best bullocks, L2i to 1.23; middling do., Llf> to LIS; inferior do., L10toL14; best cows, LIS to L 22; middling do., Ll3 to Lls; inferior no , LIO to Ll2. Fat Oai/\ i.s continue scarce, and in demand at from L 3 10s. to L 4 10s. Stoke Cattui are much wanted ; but holdeis being unwilling to sell, tiansaefcions are necessarily limited. We have sold about 500 head from a -svell known herd at from Lll to Ll2, delivered in this Province. Pair mixed cattle are saleable at from L 9 10d. to Lll. Dairy Cows and Working Bullocks much wanted : prices depending upon size, age and condition. Fat Sheep. — We have to note an increased denvuid for really fat wethers. Wo have sold 4000 at 33 s. a head, delivered on the stations. Price in the yards, 7d. per lb. Stork Sheep. — Transactions limited, as few are offered nt this season. Station Property. — We have numerous inquiries for stations, v ith or without stock. Horsks. — The market has this week again been very bare of good stock. Heavy draught horses and mares, and real s^ood weisht-cairyhiu; hackneys, are in great demand, and we feel confident that a lot now brought forward would sell well.
