DUNEDIN LIVE STOCK MARKET - Driver, Maclean & Co. leport— Transactions in stock of all kinds during the past week have been very limited, there being but few lot? offering, and buyers having beeu largely supplied from last week's sales. Fat Cattle. — Our yards have beeu but poorlj supplied this week : those offered were all taken at about last quotations. We look for better prices for the coming week, as the market i& quite bare of really prime cattle. We quote best quality cow.s and Inllocks at 555. to 80s. per cwt. ; middling do., 455. to 50s. per cwt. Fat Calves.— A_ fair supply at hand this week, all of which we disposed of at £3 10s. to £5 per head Store Cattle. — The demand for good mixed cattle continues. We have disposed of 200 head, all bullocks, at £12 per head. We quote mixed lots (fair quality) delivered in this province at £9 to £10 per head. Dairy Cowa.— Much wanted if quiet, -nith calf, oi springing at £16 to £20. Fat Sheep. — The market is quite bare of prime quality mutton. We have sold 1500 wethers, at 7d. per lb., delivered near town. Store Sheep. — We have no sales to report during the week. Clean young eweu in lamb are much wanted ; good wethers are also saleable. We look tor high prices until s-pring-. Horses. — For some months past our market has been fo bare of anything like good stock, that it is almost impossible to give fair prices. Good hacks and heavy draught horses are wanted, and would jnst now bring high prices, The Oineo is in to-day with a fresh lot, and we hope to |have something better to offer during the week.
