The Escort brought down on Thursday 11,472 ozs. 15 dwts, of gold, of which 8867 ozs. 5 dwts.. was from Tuapeka, and 2612 ozs. 10 dwts. from Waitahnna.

The total quantity of gold taken away yesterday per Aldinga was 14,839 ozs. 3 dwts. 8 grs. Land at llawkesbiiry sold yesterday at the Government sale at prices varying from 8.55. to 235. per acre, the average being 38s per acre. The total quantity sold was 1788 acres, which realised £3363 os. 3d.

Land sold at the Molyneux on Wednesday at the rate of nearly £G5 per acre. Thirty-seven sections were sold, realising £601. The highest price given for a section was £28 10s., and the lowest £13.
