I, the undersigned Godin Senior, Landed Proprietor, residing at Chantillon-sur-Seine, Cote dOr, do certify that I have sold and delivered this day, to Mr. H. S. Tiffin, Sheep Owner in New Zealand, Five Rams, numbered respectively, 5, 7, 20, 50, and 51, twenty months old ; also Eight Ewes, marked on the ear, No. 52. The said Rams and Ewes are of pure Saxon breed (Electoral Negretti), imported by me in the year 1.828, and whose Wool was distinguished at the Great Exhibitions of National Industry, Ist in 1834, with the Silver Medal 2nd „ 1839, „ Silver Medal 3rd „ 1844, „ Gold Medal 4th „ 1849, „ Gold Medal At the Great Exhibition of Paris in 1855, with the Gold Medal of the First Class, and for which I was created Chevalier de POrdre de la Legion d'Honneur.
