January 26. • The following telegram has been received this morning : — Naples, Friday. Yesterday, the attack on Gaetu was continued by the Sardinian fleet. Gaeta has suffered much from the bombardment. The lire from tiie batteries of the place is feeble. General Cialdini has lost but few men. A Sardinian gunboat has been damaged. Home, Thursday. One thousand Sardinians have attacked the convent of Oasamali, in the Koman States. They dispersed the reactionary band, set fire to the convent on the night of the 22nd inst., and afterwards re-entered the Neapolitan territory. The monks saved themselves by flight before the attack.
