AID TO TARANAKI. nnHE Committee appointed to give effect to A the Resolutions passed at a Public Meeting recently held in Dunedin, have resolved on an APPEAL to every individual in the Province. The distress which prevails in the neighbouring settlement of Taranaki, in consequence of the Native War (hundreds of industrious settlers have been driven from their homes, and having lost literally their all,) is so general and widespread, as to be even mitigated only by the most liberal and hearty sympathy on the part of their more fortunate fellow-colonists. The Committee feel assured that all classes of tins community ■will be most anxious to take a part in sympathising with and relieving a distress which might so easily have been their own. COMMITTEE.
