IT, is ; proposed to form this Company for the purpose of Erecting in Dunedin a Buildingsuitable for Masonic purposes, to be open to all regularly constituted Masonic Lodges, at a rent to be fixed by the Boarctof-Direetors. The promoters* oT the Company would also point out, that a building of,, suitable dimensions, capable •of being used as "a Public Hall, would be the source of a good revenue, irfdependent of the rent paid by any Masonic Lodge. - - Xhe nominal capital of the Company it is proposed should be £2000, in 200 shares of £10 reach ; but it is expected that, when plans and tenders have been received, it will be found that a.suitabie building can be erected for much less than the sum proposed. „ .The Committee, also would recommend, that the following clauses be embodied in the Deed ol Settlement, believing that they contain the essence of the contract on which the Company should be incorporated, vi?. : — 1st — That the maximum dividend to be divided annually should be ten per cent, on the amount 'paid up, the 1 balance of profit, if any, to be demoted to the purchase-of the shares of the Company, which shall be handed over to Trustees 'previously appointed for the purpose, in order that the Hall may eventually be entirely vested .in them for the use and profit of the craft in • -general.
