TOWN BOARD
A Special Meeting of the Town Board was held on Thursday, the 10th inst. Present — Messrs. Langlands, Duncan, Smith, Kilgour, and Chapman. — Mr. Duncan in the chair.
Mr. J. C. Carnegie having made a representation to the Board in regard to the embankment at present being brought forward over against his stores, and the Board having heard Mr. Carnegie on the subject, and inspected the said works,— resolved, " That the Board direct the Clerk to communicate with the Government in reference to Mr. Thomson's proceedings, and remind them of the fact that the plan, approved and sanctioned by the Board, showed the height of the embankment over against the Survey Office to be six feet above the site of the same, and that this was what the Board understood and sanctioned." It was also resolved, " That a copy of the above resolution be sent to Mr. Thomson."
The Board further resolved, " That the Clerk be instructed to procure an iron grating for a hole at the junction of Rattray and Maclaggan Streets."
