With the exception of Onions, which may still be sown on a warm sheltered spot, it is n.6w tod late for almost any garden seeds. Ground may be cleared of decaying crops, manured, and dug, leaving the surface as rough as possible to the action of the weather. The present is a good time for ap r plymg manure to Rhubarb. Open a 1 wide trencn on each side of the row, and remove as much mould as possible without injuring the roots ; fill with cow dung, and cover the manure well, and the crowns of the plants partially with the mould just removed from trenches. Ground may also be prepared for young plantations of Rhubarb. Curled Greens may be set, late sown Turnips thinned, and weeds kept in check. Fruit Trees, &c— Ground intended to be planted with Fruit Trees or Bushes during the ensuing winter may new be dug up at least two spit deep, but on no account bring up the subsoil to the surface.
