Apply at the Office of this paper. DUNEDIN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. COMPETITION IN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN. A PREMIUM of TWENTY POUNDS will be given for the ACCEPTED DESIGN for A NEW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, To be erected in Dunedin, the area of which to be sufficiently large for the accommodation of about 500 persons. The Design to admit of extension, by galleries or otherwise, without destroying the effect of the original plan. The Designer whose plan shall be accepted shall, in consideration of the Premium, furnish a proper specification of all works, all explanations which may be required by the contractors ; also, all working drawings, and instructions which may be required during the progress of the building; and shall also give, along with his design, an approximate estimate of the cost of the building. . To induce competition, it is requested that the designs ,may not be accompanied with the j competitors' names, but that each competitor, having adopted some distinctive mark, will place the same upon his plans,- and also upon the outside of a sealed envelope, enclosing his name and address. The accepted competitor's envelope only will be opened ; the others will be returned, with the designs to which they refer. Designs so marked, accompanied with envelopes, sealed and marked respectively, under cover, noted outside, " Competition Design," and addressed to Mr. John Hyde Haeeis, may be sent to his Offices, in Dunedin, on or before the Ist day of December next.
