SYDNEY.
The following are the Returns of Shipping entered inwards and outwards of the port of Sydney for the three quarters of the present year, ending 30th September, The total arrivals were, —

Mauritius . . 2 402 o Colonial whalers 12 239 Foreign whalers 2 1,000 From these returns it will be seen that the aggregate excess of arrivals over departures has been, — vessels 5, tonnage 12,904, passengers 1172. IMPORTS AND EXPOHTS. The Imports for 1850 were £1,333,400 Do. do. 1851 were 1,563,900 Shewing an excess over ISSO of £230,000, or rather more than 17 per cent. The Exports for 1850 were £1,357,800 Do. do 1 Sol were 1,796,900 which shew the large increase of £439,1 00 over 1850. But it must be remembered that the exports of 1851 include colonial gold to the amount of £486,336, the produce of about six months' digging.
