The price of wheat has a tendency to advance, as there is a good demand for exportation. For the best samples ss. od. to os. 6d. is sought to be obtained, but as yet it has ruled at ss. per bushel. The price of barley is 4s. 6d. for exportation, but ss. is given by the breweries. Oats are from 3s. 6d. to 4s. per bushel; flour £14 to £15 per ton; fresh butter Is. per lb.; cheese lOd.; butcher meat from 4d. to 7d.
