LEVIN STOCK SALE
VEALERS SELL WELL The weekly stock sale was held at Levin yesterday when a most satisfactory clearance was effected. There was a good yarding in all sections and realisations were fully ou a par with those ruling at recent sales in the district. A good yarding of vealers sold particularly well. The following is a list of realisations:— Sheep:—Fat ewes, 12s lOd, 14s lOd, 15s 4d to 15s lOd; fat wethers, 20s, 24s fid to 26s lOd; fat lambs, 22s lOd, 233 tc 25s 10d; fat hoggets to 24s 4d. Cattle:—Medium vealer 3, £2 17s Gd, £3 2s Gd, £3 12s Gd, £4 2s 6d to £4 7s Gd; prime do., £4 12s 6d, £5 2s Gd, £5 7s 6d, £6 12s 6d, £7 2s 6d to £7 7s Gd; fat cows (ex-dairy), £4 7s 6d, £4 17s Gd, £5 2s 6d, £5 12s Gd to £6 12s Gd; P.A. empty heifers to £5 2s; runners, £7 2s Gd to £7 7s 6d; fat bullocks to £l3 10s. Pigs:—Stores, £2 5s Gd, £2 8s 6d, £2 Os to £2 10s; baconcrs, £3 9s, £3 10s, £3 15s, £4 to £4 3e. Owing to the approaching Christmas holidays, the weekly sale will be held Levin- on Monday next.
