THE OTAKI CARNIVAL.

STTCCESSFGL EKTERTAIKMENTS. On Wednesday night the Railway Theatre was well filled with pleasureseekers, the occasion being the carnival organised by the Otaki Progressive Association, and which has been so successfully managed for some time past. The side-shows were well patronised and the attendants are to be commended on their splendid work. It must have also been gratifying to the promoters to see such a large attendance and to know that solid business was transacted. The supper-room, under the charge of capable workers, also did well, but the main attraction was the entertainment provided by Mr. Assheton Harbord and his talented company', which was composed of youthful performers. All did splendidly-, their singing and acting being excellent. Encores were numerous.
