DRAPER'S SHOP AFIRE.
BRIGADE'S GOOD SAVE WELLINGTON, The front portion and stock of D. Lewis and Company's drapery shop.. Bay Eoad, Kilbirnie, was considerably damaged by an outbreak of fire tonight. When the brigade arrived the Are had a good hold of the single stjrey wooden building. Dense clouds of : smoke and tongues of flame leaping from the large show windows attracted a crowd. The brigadesmen made a good save and prevented the living rooms at the rear of the premises being damaged, o The origin of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be ascertained tonight. Details of the insurances are not available.
