OTAKI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

URBAN FARM LANDS. A special meeting of the Otaki Borough Council was held on Friday, the 30th ult. Tho Mayor. Mr. T. O'Rourke, was in the chair, and all Councillors were present. An invitation had been extended to all occupiers of -property included in the Crtyin Far-n Lands List to attend the meeting-and disStfss with the Council the valuation of .their- lands for rating purposes. This valuation is a special valuation -under the Urban Farm Land Bill and is for ratin.s purposes only- . About 20 occupiers or owners attended the meeting and placed before the Council varies facts and figures relative to their picperties. which were noted. The Council then decided to adjourn the meeting to Wednesday next, the sth inst, when the valuation? of all the properties in the Farm Lands List will be finalised. When this is completed and the list signed, advertisement will be made that the list is deposited at the Council Chambers, and is open for public inspection.
