BASKETBALL.

RAHUI (20) v. OTAKI (12). This was an interesting game, with a deal of very smart play ou both sides. Tho players handled the ball in pleasing mannor, passing being welldirected, while tho goal-throwers did splendidly. Frequently the ball passed smartly through several hands, and the tricky nature of many passes was good. The contest was witnessed by quite a number of interested spectators, thus proving that basketball is still growing in popularity. In a basketball match between the Otaki and Manakau Stato School girls at Manakau on Friday the former won, after a good contest, by seven goals to six.
