J TEES COLLECTED EXCEED j ESTIMATE. I sir .Rimes Wilson presided at the I monlhlv meeting of the Palmerston { North Hospital Board held yesterday. Reports. Dr. F. Ward, medical superintendent, reported that there were IS2 admissions to the institution during February, while Id!) inmates were discharged. fattents in hospital at the end of February numbered 159. Ten cases of infectious, discuses were admitted. Babies horn in [he new maternity home numbered 13. Miss .f. J. McPhie, matron, reported that there had been no staff changes during the month. Donations acknowledged were as follows: Mrs. falconer, flower.-, .fruit and jam; Salvation Army, fruit; Klainc Hall ami "Anonymous," papers and magazines. The report presented bv the managing secretarv. Air. A. J. Phillipps, was as follows: j During februai-y, painting work was carried on in the fever ward block. j There is little other maintenance work proceeding al the present time.
