WEDDING.

NEAL —'LEE. A pretty little wedding was solemnised at Tnparou (East Coast) on the 2nd inst.. when Miss Etlieldreda Lee, daughter of Mrs E. Lee, of Harrison Street, 'Wanganui, and erstwhile of Otaki, was united in the sacred bonds of matrimony to Mr Frank Neal, of Hick’s Bay. The church was very prettily decorated for the occasion, and the officiating clergyman was the Lev. Pine Tarnation. The bride was given | array by Mr R. H. Wicksteed, of Otaranui Station, and the bridegroom was attended by Mr 8. Windsor, of Taupnroa, as best man. while Miss Peggy Morris acted as bridesmaid. The bride was prettily attired in a gown of blue crepe-de-ehene with vest and collar of tucked chiffon, and wore a leghorn hat lined with pink georgette and trimmed with white ostrich feathers, and carried a bouquet of cream roses. When the bridal party emerged from the vestry the strains of the Wedding March was the signal to friends waiting outside to freely besprinkle the happy couple with showers of rice as they approached the church door, and the übiquitous photographer was also in evidence to take snaps ere they reached the motor car, which conveyed them to the residence of Mr and Mrs Morris, where a duiuty wedding breakfast had been provided, and here bride and bridegroom received the felicitations of their friends. Tli 3 bride was the recipient of a large number of costly and handsome presents, together with a sheaf of cheques. In the afternoon, amid showers of eon- j fetti, hand-shakings, congratulations, and good wishes. Mr and Mrs Neal left for their home at Hick’s Bay. Mr Neal is a returned man and saw considerable service on different battlefields in France.
