THE FLOWER SHOW.
A PRETTY DISPLAY. The Horticultural Society's Autumn Show is being held at Brights ’ Theatre to-day, and is a very nice exhibition—well worthy of the inspection of all lovers of the bautiful. In point of entries the show is somewhat disap pointing, but if is a remarkably pretty display. Asters, dahlias, and other autumn flowers make a riot of colouring thaf is very attractive, while the collection ot cut flowers make a very fine showing. Tin: vegetables are a rare lot. and the fruit, though not a largo ''"try, makes a good display. There ie also a tine exhibit, in the domestic 'section.
Favoured by delightful weather, 1 here was a good attendance at tho show this afternoon, and a very large gathering is hoped for to-night. Those vho attend may depend on getting good value for tho small charge made for admission—one shilling.
Among the exhibitors arc a. goodly, number of horticultural enthusiasts from Levin, M.-tnukau, To Horo, and even front ns far away as the Wairarapa and Christchurch.
