Never- s theless, some good scores were segis- v tered.'■'The twice winners of the Mc- n Kenzie Shield fielded their strongest side, land ran out winners by> 57 x. point's. However, the local club expect to turn the tables at Invereargill _ m the near future. ( , At 30 yards N. McWilliams was top C score with 33, reading 5454555—33, closely followed by R. Hazley 32,. A. Lyall 32. \ \ ' At 500 yards the change m the light and wind puzzled the best of the I riflemen. .'._The best shoot at this range was registered by W. E. Diack with 32, reading 4445555—32. The best-aggregate of the day was that of R. Hazley of the local'club ,with 64, /followed by A. Lyall 63, JN. a McWilliams, 63, R. Henderson 63 and < C. H. y the wife of the local club's popular, ice-president (Mr F. Boyle), -.who ongratulated the visitors on their 'm. Mr A. R. Wills, on. behalf of" :ie Invereargill team, thanked the lembers of the Nightcaps Club for ie hospitality extended, which was epical of Nightcaps receptions, [ightcaps Rifle Club was; a young' tie and some of its members showed reat promise. The chief thing a ifle club was for' members to show leir interest and if they took notice f. Mr Hazley they would soon realise iat they had an ideal coach. "(Aplause). A pleasant social was iDent.
