The first motor vehicle to be manufactured m "China was completed recently at a factory associated with the Manchurian trench mortar arsenal. The occasion was oelebrated ;in the usual Chinese manner — with .fireworks the explosions effectively silencing the exhausts of the engine. The. vehicle has been built as an experiment as facilities for large scale . production dp notexist m the country.
