Solos were rendered by Mrs Brooker : md Mr Cl»pp. After the usual supper, Miss Harrington spoke on behalf of the Hockey jlnh members, who were all sorry to see Miss Stroud going away, as she & nad been an enthusiastic member of he Cluby- although not an active player. - /,: ; . . Mf Wesney spoke of Miss Stroud's ■' york m connection with the Methodist Church, and also the assistance siie iad given public functions by giving terns willingly when askect to sing. Dn behalf of the townspeople, "the :hairman extended... their, good wishes ior her future success and happiness.. On behalf of those present Mr. Jas.* Smellie • asked .Miss Stroud to. accept m- oak bedroom clock as a token <of the esteem m which she, was held, together • vith the good wishes of them all.
