APARIMA NOTES.
> .. — _, A very sociable gathering was held m the school last Tuesday- evening, when the ladies of the district played the men at a "500" .tournament and beat them to khe tune of .15 games. The evening prizes .^weiu ; won by Miss Mui'rhead and Mr VV. Ayton, the latter winning by a cut with Mr R. Ronald. The. consolation trophies went to Miss Clothier and Mr Robson. After a dainty supper the floor was cleared. Dancing was then enjoyed to music provided by Messrs liawmorne, Brown and W. and S. Ayton, while Mr N. James acted as M.C. . Those present were : Mr ana Mrs S. James, Muirhead, R. Ronald, W. R. /James, Scott ; Misses Keen (2); Beggs (2), Ayton (2), James (2),. Muirhead, Paterson, McCully, Clothier ~ ahd Brown; Messrs Ayton (3), James (2), Keen (2), Collie (2), Milne, • Brown (2), Kane, McCully (2), Price, Faterson» Iremohger, Hawthorne, King, Robson, Dickson, Beck, Sharp, Muirhead and Jones.
