At the fortnightly meeting last Wedr nesday, Mr Liddell was voted to the chair m the unavoidable absence 6f the President. Delegates were present as follows : Messrs Mpsley and Lyng (Riverton), Laurie and Wyeth (Orawia) Cameron and Mills (Ohai), Grant (Nightcaps), Booth (Referee Association) and Millar (Orepuki). Orawia were granted the" match by default against Tthornbury, the .latter Club being- fined £1 unless a satisfactory reason was forthcoming. Resolved the Orepuki Club -be asked for an explanation of its default to Riverton. ' . ' ~ . J. D. Williamson was yi anted a transfer from Country Pirates to Otautau. The Southland Union forwarded ,£ll 13/-, being WesternHi proportion ofi 1929 Country" Day proceeds. Fixtures : — August 20th: Nightcaps v.. Orawia at Nightcaps. August 30th: Crawia v. Riverton at Riverton, Nightcaps v. Otautau at Otautau and Ohai v. Orepuki. The selectors chose the following team .to represent Western against Northern at Lumsden on 23rd August for the Sports Trust Cup: Vickers {Ohai) ; L. Wilson (Ohai),
