Sinclair's applications at previous meeting- for cancellation ot Wednesday evenings for picture showing, and asking for a remission for rent tor evenings on which pictures, had not been screened were considered m Committee. — -The former was declined and the latter not answered. Mr Sinclair again approached the Board asking for an opportunity to confer with the Board or the Finance Committee respecting the lease ot the Hall. Moved by the v,uairmari, seconded by Commissioner Malcolm that the 'request be held over until after the election. ■ Building permits were granted to Jas. Hamilton and M. S. Flynn. , J. Duncan was granted pwi mission , to remove a garage. . ', A. Hind, piano tuner, advised that he would attend to tuning; or repairing the hall piano on 26th mst. The Clerk, Wallace County .Council, wrote complaining that a resilient ot Ohai had obtained, his heavy traffic license m Nightcaps instead oi Utautau. —Received. As all fees are sent to Invercargill for apportionment, Nightcaps does not benefit by collecting heavy license fees. H. Akhurst, Riverton, replied to a query respecting the heating:^ system installed m More's Hall, stating that the system was satisfactory wor heating- the -gallery, but not for the mam floor. The Doctor's Residence Committee banded over all books, deeds, etc, belonging to the Committee.
