1 A FINE LINE FROM [ APARIMA. j One of the finest lines of fat lambs 1 killed at the Ocean Beach Freezing : Works for many years, was a line of ; 544, the progeny of Romney ewe and Ryeland rams, bred and fattened by Mr J. T. Beck, Aparima, drafted by the Southland Farmers' Cooperative Association Ltd., weighing 40.77 ibs all first quality. 9 Besides having an ideal caryase most suitable for the trade, they were ex ceptfQnajiy \ypjl >v'pp)led, of a good quality, yet plenty of weight, Mr- J. % JJc^k has been using Ryeland rams for many years and with the results gained, has proved them the most suitable breed with which to cross with Romney or Leicester ewes for mutton and wool. From bis experience over » number of yeats, Mr Beck has elected to start a stud of this particular breed and has lately acquired froni Mr Bayly Withall, Ealing; j Canterbury, 1 0 stud Ryeland ewes and i 1 ram. In introducing this particular breed of such exceptional quality to his district, Mr Beck shows great, enterprise anjd is deserving of every success. ;■•""■
