Valedictory
Mr J- hi McCall, who sold oat at Eastern Gash, and retired owiog to. ill-heath, was accorded a hearty send off iv the church recently, , wben i large number of friends and neighbours assembled to bid bun good bye. A short programme of songs and recitations was given, Messrs J, Anderson Reilly, Donald McLiren, and David !fourjg made presentations o the McC*ll family, speaking m flowing pterins of their many good qualities, and wishing Mr and Mrs YfcCalf many years of peaceful retirement, and the younger members of the family a happy and prosperous fnture7 Refreshments were ' served, and a very enjoyable evening brought io a close by the singing of the National Anthem and the pronouncing of the Benediction. Two of Mr itfcCall's sons answered the call oi the Empire, and one (Hugh), after three years' campaigning,^'gave his lifa for his country.
