Wadding Bells.
HUGHES— DURHAM. A quiut wedding was celebrated at. St Andrews' Church last Wednesday by the Roy. C, Webb, the contracting parties being Miss Edith Durlvirn, daughter of Mrs* S. -T. Durham, Otdutau, aiid Mr Bertram Hughes, youngest sou of Mr and the lato Mrs Alfred Hughos. Tasmania. 'J'ho 1 brida, w)io was given awaj; by her brother, ! was. supported by Miss >Jean Durham as bridesmaid, while Mr M. Hughes carried out the duties ot' best man. The bride wag {elagantly attired m erepe-dechone, whilst the bridesmaid wore cream satin. After tno ceremony an adjournment was | niadtr to the house, where a sumptuous | redding breakfast wi\h partaken or, at which tho usual] toasts were hououred, | tho wedding party beinj,' afterwards j photographed en the lawn. , The bridegroom's present to the bride ; being a silver tiolet set, and n gold pen- i danfc to- the bridesmaid. ' The presents received wore numerous, I costly, and useful. The happy ooupie loft for their honeymoon amidst showers of confetti and the good wishes, of their i friends. * j
