YOUNG WAREHOUSEMAN'S WINDFALL

■ •» . The will of the late Mr James Rhodes, of Bolton Royd, Manningham, Bradford, is particularly interesting, so far as at least one of the chief beneficiaries' is concerned. The gross value of the estate is £574,536, and the net value £553,626. One of the two executors is Mr John Rhodes, a nephew of the testator, of Bankfield, Heaton, Bradford, and the residue of the estate is given to Mr Timothy Rhodes, Mr John Rhodes, and Mr. Frederick William Jowett Rhodes, m equal shares, which means that they will each receive about £169,000. Th. Mr John Rhodes mentioned above was a;' warehouseman m the employ of Messrs A. and S.H enry and Co., Ltd., merchants, of Leeds road, Bradford, until shortly before Christmas last year, at a salary of about 30s a week, and resided with his family at 5 Clarendon place, Bradford, a comparatively small house. When Mr Rhodes gave up his position at tlie end of last year it was rumored that hie had inherited a quarter of a million : but when approached bj^ representatives of the Press J he declined to make any statement. Singe M then he has removed to a delightfully-situ- \ ated old house, Bankfield, Heaton, Bradford, which is surrounded by attractive grounds, and with a fine outlook on to the Ilkley Moors. Mr Rhodes is a little past middle age.
