BURNSIDE STOCK SALE.
Dunedin, Wednesday,
Fat Cattle.— 2ll yarded. The majority were prime to good bullocks. Competition vras keen at slightly reduced values. Good cattle showed a drop of about 10s per head, but light sorts and cow beef declined about £ I per head. Prime bullocks £12 5s to £15 10s, extra heavy to £15 2s 6d, medium to good £10 to £11 10s, light £8 to £9 10s, best cows and heifers £9 to £10, extra to £11 17s 6d, medium to good £7 10s to £8 10s, light £4 to £6 10s.
Fat Sheep.— 3074 penned consisting principally of prime to medium quality. There was keen demand owing to butchers having small supplies and graziers bidding for all lots requiring topping off. Prices were slightly firmer than those of last week. Best wethers 22s 6d to 245, extra to 275, medium to good 20s to 225, light and unfinished 17s to 19s, best ewes 18s to 20s, extra to 24s Gd, medium to good 15s 6d to 17s, light 12s 6d to 14s.
Fat Lambs.— 2ooo penned. The quality on the whole was not so good as that of last week. Graziers secured come 800 of the yarding. Freezing lambs were firm at last week's prices. Best 18s to 19s 6d, extra to 265, medium to good 15,8 6.d to 17s, light and unfinished 13s to 14s 6d.
