THOMSON— McCALL.
On Wednesday list Eastern Bush was the scene of an interesting and important weddinp. The bride was Miss MeCall, eldest daughter of Mi* John MeCall, and the bridegroom, Mr John H. Thomson, farmer, Winton. The bridesmaid was Miss Isabella MeCall, sister of tbe bride, and the best man Mr Walter H. Thomson, farmer, Wimoa. The marriage ceremony was conducted by Rev. A. Macdonald, Otautau. Tho bride was handsomely attired m \vhi:e, ani wore the usual veil and orange blossom. After the marriage, the best wishes were expressed for the future of the happy couple by liev. A. Maodonald: . He referred to Mr and Mrs Mo Call as being pioneers m the Waiau, of their great kindness, and of the good influence they had always exerted m the district. Judging from tbe appearance of tbe bride and bridegroom, he anticipated for them a long, useful and happy career together. Mr Alfred Tapper, farmer, Wallaoetown, biroiherin law of ihe bridegroom, spoke very highly of the Thomson family, and of Mr Thomson, the bridegroom. The wedding breakfast was nicely laid out m the dining room, and m the centre of the table was a large bridescake. The marriage presents were displayed m the sitting-room, and they looked an excellent selection. Among them several cheques were noticeable. Later on, the newly-married couple lef t by motor oar on their honeymoon trip.
