SALE OF HORSES AT OTAUTAU
Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having conducted a speoial sale of horses on Wednesday m O'Brien's Bazaar, Otautau. Although the attendance of farmers wa3 not large, considerable business was done, and very satisfactory prices were realised. The entry comprised some good mares and' geldings, which met witb keen competition. The following sales were effected, viz. : Bay mare, 6yrs, by Young Kelvin, JB50 ; bay mare, 6yrs, £4* ; bay mare, 4 years, £40; bay filly, 8 years, £86: bay filly, 3yrs, £34 ; bay filly, Byrs, £40 ; bay mare, by Western Prince, £50*; bay gelding, 7yr_., £85; bay mare", 6yrs, £37 ; hay mare, syrs, £48 10s ; bay gelding, 4yrs, £41 ; bay mare, Byrs, £30; chestnut harness mare, £18 ; harness mare, £9 10s ; bay mare, Byrs. £14 ; bay mare, aged, £28 ; and two hacks, at up to £10, The auctioneers have further enquiries for good mares, three to six years old, preferably m foal.
