OTAUTAU STOCK SALE.

I I i here was a fair entry of all clashes I lon Friday in the Otautau yards. Tho ' J following wore offered : — Lumbs 2142, owes 1166, wethers 1247, fats 58, Jams 63; total 4676 sheep aud .106 head of cattlo. The sale was a veiy good one, bidding being moie spirited than of late, and lambs showed an advance of Is a head on 'resent prices. Young ewes also were in good demand, and prices for these were fully maintained with a tendency in favour of sellers. Wethers were pretty stale. Rams were all sold privately, so that there was no indication under the hammer what prices were ruling. Cattle were without animation, except for a fine line of well-grown, good forward conditioned steers showing some breeding from Mr J. Ritchie's Blyth Estate, which sold for £6 1 7s 6d. The following sales took place under the hammer : — Ewe lambs, 118 at 11/7, 233 at 12/1, 154 at 12/3. Mixed sexen, .150 fit 11/, 87 10/10. 200 I'*/, 171 8/0, 52 10/7, 53 10''«' !S | 0/5 ; 2-29 11/3.
