Mr. Macpherson at Scott's Gap.

Mr D. Macpherson addressed the electors of Scott's Gap m the Public Hall, on Friday evening, the- 27th. The night was very stormy, and, as a result, there were only about SO electors present, several of these being ladies. Mr Macpherson, who spoke for upwards of two hours, received a very patient hearing, and at th*} close of his address, received a vote of thanks and confidence, which was proposed by Mr D. McKay and seconded by Mr D, Molvor, the motion being carried, by aoolamation. Mr John Dickson acted as chairman m his usual efficient manner.
