Scot's Gap Bachelors' Ball.

The annual ball given by the Bachelors of Scot's Gap, took place m the Public Hall, on Friday evening. Officer, the latter acting as, seoretaryV and, by his courtesy and attention^ assisting to make everyone feel at home. The music" was m- the capable hands of Messrs Egan Bros, while Messrs D. Sheddan and W. Bates efficiently acted as MB.'C. The capaoity of*- the hall was taxed to its utmost Yfor dancing as upwards of 60 cpuples were present) of which some 40 couples toolt' part m the Grand March, the .various evolutions of whioh were guided by M.C. D. Sheddan, and was led off by Me. Braley and Miss Bailey. While our, correspondent was unable to get all the names of the ladies, the following were noticed as being present "^-Mesdames Gibson, Mclvor, and De Joux, .Misses Sheddan 2, Thomson, Dodds 2, Mclvor 2, Forde, Mcintosh, Gifilon 8, Dickson 2, Fitzsiramons, Devanny* Scott 2, Glendinning, Fergusou 8 Sutherland, Stewart, Bailey, Allen it and Wilson. It would be invidious to discriminate between the ladiesdresses, all were suitably and beeora-. ingly costumed, and the effeot m the Grand March was charming.
