Until the prorogation of parliament is definitely fixed, the committee of the Wallace A. and P. Association are ind^ubt as to whether the date fixed for their annual show namely 29th November, will not clash with the general election ; defiioite word will probably be known before the end of the present week of the date fixed for the election, and thus set the doubt at rest.
Mr Turner, an a'pine climber from England, had an. unpleasant experience on Ngauahoe North Island On Thursday. He set out from a hut half way op' the hill, and reached the crater after three hours' ioe climbing. A terrib'e gale was blowing at the time, and Mr Turner lo*t his snow goggles, and mi.Bod his way m trying to regain the hut and spent all Friday night and part of Saturday on the mountain without food. He made his way eventually to Waiorn, and went on by ooach to Wellington.
