About a fortnight ago, a requisition, containing upwards of 100 signatures, was presented to Mr Jno. Ford, of Wairio, asking him to consent to be nominated as a candidate for the representation of the Wairio Biding, at the forthcoming Wallace County blection. The signatories referred to Mr Mr Ford's nine years' previous experience as a member of the council and pledged themselves to do their best to secure his return.
