(wk) (rao ' Bullbofe drivers .. £10 10 0 £10> The Employers' proposals as to conditions are as follows: — Hours of Lftbonr — The working hours snail be eight hours per day or 48 hours por wsek, and the time for beginning work m each miil sliall beih accordance with the practices ob* S'-rved by each employer at the date of thecorning into operation of this award. The foregoing limits of workiug hours shall nos ap 1 ply to any workers nmplo.ve.l m. getting up, steam for the machinery m the respectivemills of th« employers, or m m>iking preparations for the ordinary daily work for suchi . mills.
Overtime. — Overtime shall, subj -ct to the. foregoing clauses, be paid at t ; c rare of timeand a quarter; provided that the overtime shall only be payable for the extended hours worked during the week m cxc ss of forty-eight hours and shall be paid at the 'first regular 'pay day thereafter. If the overtime worked is for the purpjse of repairing any breakdown m the machinery necessarily causing the stoppage o£ the mill, only ordinary wages, shall be paid therefor.
Holidays. — The following shall be recog*. niaed holidays » — New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, and Gbristmas Day. Incompetent Workmen. — Any worker whoconsiders himself incapable of earning the mi-, nimum wage prescribed m Rule V hereof may b-j paid such less wage as may from time to time be fixed on application of the ehiploye, y the Stipendiary Magistrate sitting, m.- the dißtriot.
No Discrimination agafnßt Unionists. Noemployer shall discriminate against members of the Union nor shall m the engagement or dismissal of workmen, or m the conduct o£ his business do anything directly or indireotly for the purpose of injuring the Union. When members of the Union, and non-mem-bers are employed together, there shall be na distinction between members and non-mem-bers, and both shall work together m harmony and under the same conditions and shall receive equal pay for equal work. Wages.— Wage* to be paid m caßh or cheque on or before the 10th of the month. Change of work. — In the event of any work-, man having to ohange from one class of work to another he shall be paid the wages allowed as per log for that olass of work.
Termination of Employment.— 24 hoars notice of the termination of the services of any workman shall be given by the employer to, the workman and by the workman to the employer. That this agaeement remain m force/, for one year.
